Purchasing a "Moose Plate"

You can purchase a Conservation License Plate at any time - for your new car, for a car that's already registered, or even for a friend or family member to use when they register their car!

All funds raised through the purchase of Conservation License Plates are used for the promotion, protection and investment in New Hampshire's natural, cultural, and historic resources.

There are two ways to purchase a Conservation License Plate:

  • Visit your municipal office in person to make your purchase, whether you're registering your car for the first time or renewing your registration and changing your plate to a Conservation License Plate.
  • You can also purchase a gift certificate for someone you know who doesn't yet have a Conservation License Plate but would love one.

Conservation License Plate Gift Certificates

If you know someone who’d love a Conservation License Plate, you can help by giving them a Conservation License Plate gift certificate.

Conservation License Plate gift certificates can be purchased in person at any New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles Registration office as well as at some municipal offices. Please contact your local municipal office to inquire if the gift certificates can be purchased at the local level.

You can also download a Conservation License Plate gift certificate form, fill it out and send your payment to the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Registration at 23 Hazen Drive in Concord, NH 03305. The New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles will then send the gift certificate, acknowledging that it’s a gift from you, to the person for whom you made the purchase.
