Lamprey River Preservation – Strafford County
The Town of Durham, in partnership with the Southeast Land Trust of NH, and with funding assistance from a NH State Conservation Committee Moose Plate Grant, permanently protected 53 acres with 3,500 feet on the federally designated wild and scenic Lamprey River, which will help protect the Durham-UNH drinking water supply intake. The conservation of this land ensures the protection of significant wildlife habitat and continued pedestrian public access.
